The South West is a food lovers paradise and we rarely miss out on an opportunity to celebrate all things foodie. This beautiful corner of the country hosts several food festivals throughout the year, and the team at Blue Chip Holidays have put together a list of some of their favourites.

From fresh fish to local countryside grub, food festivals are a fantastic way to get to explore the area and really see what the South West has to offer.

Food Festivals in Cornwall:

Pol Roger Hosted Dinner at Fifteen Cornwall – 21st May

On Tuesday 21 May at 7pm we are delighted to welcome Hubert de Billy, owner of Pol Roger and part of the historic family to Fifteen Cornwall to host an exclusive dinner.  Pol Roger is the house champagne at Fifteen Cornwall and we have the exclusive magnum pour in Cornwall.  Join Hubert at our table and experience a guided masterclass and pairing of the famous champagne with a Tasting Menu specially prepared by Head Chef Adam Banks.  Tickets must be pre-booked and paid for in advance.

Newquay Fish Festival – 13th September to 15th September

One of Cornwall’s most celebrated seafood and crafts weekends gives Newquay an opportunity to showcase its iconic fishing harbour.  With great music, harbour entertainment, arts and crafts, and a menu of delicious dishes cooked on the quay by local Chefs using fresh local produce - this year promises to be the best yet.

Food Festivals in Devon:

Flavour Fest, Plymouth – 31st May to 2nd June

Returning for its 16th year,and with more than 100 traders showcasing the best regional produce, Flavour Fest is the South West’s largest free food and drink festivals. The weekend event will see the Piazza transformed with stalls brimming with local delicacies, demonstrations by celebrity chefs, live music and a marquee bar.

Fishstock Brixham – provisional date 14th September

Fishstock Brixham, the English Riviera’s renowned urban music and seafood festival takes place at the new Fish Quay on Brixham’s picturesque fishing harbour.  A real hit for the whole family, thousands of visitors regularly enjoy tasting the delicious seafood and marvel at the live theatre cooking demonstrations with some of the English Riviera’s most popular chefs.

Powderham Food Festival – 5th October to 6th October

One of Devon’s most exciting foodie event will return for its eighth year. Set in the grounds of the stunning Powderham Castle.  The festival promises delicious local foodie treats and a fantastic fun-filled family day out for all ages.
