WIN AN OVERNIGHT STAY IN THE SUSSEX DOWNS!

Where better to relax after the festive period than at the stunning South Lodge in the Sussex countryside? Less than an hour from Central London, it’s a spacious retreat where you can indulge in fine wines, and gourmet food while taking in the breathtaking views.

The hotel was built in 1883 and is a former country house with 88 bedrooms. Each is designed so no two are identical, with many rooms having a range of luxuries including four poster beds and two luxury baths – two even have open-air hot tubs.

There are several dining choices at the South Lodge, including the elegant Camellia Restaurant, Botanica for Mediterraneaninfluenced cuisine, and Tom Kemble at The Pass. The latter has 3 AA Rosettes, and the restaurant is situated at the heart of the kitchen, so diners are able to see first hand the creativity and sheer theatre of the busy restaurant team. As part of the prize you’ll get a six course tasting menu to enjoy here with an accompanying wine flight.

The spa is new for 2019 and includes a host of experiences including an infinity pool, a swimming pool, an infused sauna, herbal steam rooms, state of the art gym equipment, studio classes and 14 nature-themed treatment rooms. The prize includes access to the facilities from 3pm on the day of arrival, through until 2pm the next day, as well as a mud room experience for two, and another treatment of your choice.

The hotel is located on a 93 acre estate, which is fantastic to explore in the spring; you can enjoy a picnic by the lake, or hop on one of the hotel’s mountain bikes to explore the grounds. If you fancy going further, you could visit one of the many local vineyards a short drive away to make even more of your stay.
