We simply adore summer fruits like fresh raspberries with Greek yogurt or homemade ice cream, but you can also use them to create showstopping, delicious desserts.

Whether you’re looking for a classic summer dessert like Eton mess, or you prefer frozen desserts (sundae, anyone?) we’ve got you covered!

Peach & Raspberry Galette

A galette-style tart works for all seasons with so many ingredients, no tin needed. This is a lovely summery combo but you can use any fruits you like; a peach-plum galette or a blueberry-pecan galette is also a great choice. Just follow the same recipe, and substitute the fruit topping.

Eton Mess

Eton mess is a quintessentially British dessert. The most important element of an Eton mess is the strawberries, which must be the finest you can get. A close second is the meringue, which makes a lovely crisp topping for that soft cream. This show-stopping dessert is a real crowd pleaser.

If you like scones, you’ll love this scone traybake from Great British Bake Off winner Edd Kimber. Edd says: “British folk can’t agree on how to correctly pronounce the word scone or even whether the jam or cream should go on first, so this slab scone will be sacrilege for some, but I love it, as it turns a dainty afternoon tea staple into a perfect dessert.” Serve with whipped heavy cream and fresh fruit.

No-churn ice cream for all seasons

Image for blog - 10 mouth-watering summer puds using seasonal fruit

You don’t need an ice cream maker for this no-churn ice cream. The vanilla base can be made in moments; the secret star of the show is the thick, sweet condensed milk. It doesn’t freeze hard, which makes for easy scooping. Once you know how to make your vanilla base, the possibilities never end. Here we’ve suggested four ideas to get you going – one for each season. The idea is to reach for fresh ingredients when they’re at their very best. You can use the results in ice cream sundaes and ice cream sandwiches - delicious!
