Miranda Hayman began her career in the wine trade, where for eight years she worked across marketing, sales and operations. It was while she was living in Hong Kong that she made the change from wine to spirits and where she was responsible for launching Hayman’s Gin in Asia Pacific. Continually inspired by the tenacity and drive of her family business, Miranda and brother James decided to launch Merser, an award-winning handcrafted distinctive rum made from sourcing the best Caribbean rums – which are then combined and finished in casks in London – a nod to their family heritage as London rum merchants. Their Rum Blending House is the first to be established in central London in over a century.
