What are the Great British Food Awards? Plus
How do the awards work? Plus

Step 1: Companies enter their products here and will be contacted by the Great British Food Awards team to confirm the postal address and send date. They will then be required to send two samples of each product entered.

Step 2: Our in-house team of experts will test out every product. We will also fill out detailed feedback forms for companies who want them.

Step 3: Our team will shortlist the best scoring 10-15 products in each category. Shortlisted companies will then be required to send samples to our celebrity judges around the UK in mid August. Our judges will pick three Gold badge-winning entries from each category and provide feedback for each.

Step 4: Gold badge-winners will then need to send samples into our studio for photography in mid-September, and to the chosen judge of our final British Grand Champion category.

When will the winners be announced? Plus

The winners and runners up will be announced to the public on 28th October 2024, though winners and runners up will be informed beforehand in order to arrange photography samples to be sent out.

How does the feedback work? Plus

When entering your product you will have the option to receive feedback from the Great British Food team for an extra fee. Forms will include detailed and constructive comments from our judges if you are one of the Gold badge-winning companies. Previous entrants have found the comments very useful for marketing purposes. Even if you don't win, getting feedback provides invaluable knowledge that may help you grow, improve and develop your offering, or reassess certain aspects of your product's taste or packaging.

Who will be judging the awards? Plus

Firstly the Great British Food team will painstakingly test every product entered to compile a shortlist of the best in each category. Next, we have enlisted a fantastic group of celebrity judges to pick our winners; each and every one is extremely knowledgeable and passionate about their chosen category. Find out more about them by clicking here.
