The Engineer Restaurant in Primrose Hill, which has recently re-opened after a stylish refresh, offers a comfortable and relaxed setting perfect for both casual dining and a quiet drink. Just five weeks into its new chapter, the restaurant is already attracting a steady lunchtime crowd, with a mix of diners and drinkers enjoying the space.

The redesign strikes a perfect balance between modern and traditional, creating a welcoming atmosphere without being overwhelming. The bar area is casual and inviting, while the dining area offers a more refined yet still relaxed ambiance. It’s an ideal setting for those looking for a laid-back dining experience, whether for a quick meal or a more leisurely lunch.

The menu is varied, with a wide selection of options that cater to different tastes. From hearty mains to lighter dishes, there's something for everyone. On the recommendation of our server, we tried the creamed spinach, and it was an absolute highlight. The garlic and cheese sauce that accompanied it was so rich and flavourful, we told the team they should make it their signature sauce, it really is that good! The quality of ingredients shines through in each dish, making for a satisfying meal no matter what you choose. Whether you're in the mood for something comforting or something a little lighter, the restaurant’s offerings do not disappoint.

What really stood out during my visit was the friendly and knowledgeable staff. They were attentive, helpful, and able to offer insightful recommendations about the menu, making the whole dining experience feel more personal and enjoyable.

The mix of diners and drinkers creates a relaxed vibe that feels welcoming without being overly busy. Whether you're there for a drink or a meal, The Engineer is a great spot to unwind and enjoy quality food and service.
